She is a writer. She has published many novels, including Il libro di Teresa (Giunti), La Terra dei dinosauri (Feltrinelli), Pecore vive (a collection of short stories finalist at the Premio Strega in 2007), La prima vita di Italo Orlando (Minimum fax) first of a trilogy, followed by Terrapiena. She has written books for children, including: Cola Pesce (Feltrinelli), Un segreto a scuola(Mondadori). She is editor of the magazine "Nuovi Argomenti".
